Jordan Scates is a 23-year-old choreographer, dancer, and creative director from the Bay Area who began his formal training at age 15. Deeply rooted in Hip-Hop, he has also trained in Jazz and Contemporary styles, expanding his versatility and creative voice. His pursuit of artistic growth has taken him across Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Virginia, and beyond—training through programs like Monsters of Hip-Hop and Kaos, and under the guidance of industry leaders such as Antoine Troupe and Ysabelle Capitule.

Jordan is the founder of MVMT Certified, a youth development dance program launched in 2023. Focused on a hip-hop–centered curriculum for dancers ages 12–18, the program emphasizes technique, personal growth, and industry awareness—reflecting his dedication to mentorship, education, and community building.

He currently teaches and leads competition programs throughout the Bay Area and Northern California, where he works closely with youth and pre-professional dancers to elevate their training, performance quality, and artistic development.

Jordan holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from California State University, Los Angeles, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Legal Studies at DePaul University College of Law, with plans to enter a JD program. His academic journey complements his mission to create inclusive, forward-thinking platforms in the arts and education.

He has performed and assisted on stages such as Club Jete and Choreographer’s Carnival, while building an education base across California and Chicago. Outside the studio, he channels his passion for creative expression through his fashion brand, Scates Market, merging movement culture with design.

As a performer, educator, and entrepreneur, Jordan continues to challenge boundaries—redefining what it means to be a modern, multidisciplinary artist.
